Tokyo Trip - Day 5

Started out late. It was already 10am by the time we reached Nippori. We had trouble finding the place as we had chosen the wrong exit. The exit brought us to a very remote place, which is so unlike Tokyo.

We had to turn back and start all over again. Luckily this time, we found the textile town.
The place is like a smaller version of Jalan TAR. The only thing that is different is that the shop owners are a bit rude, which again, is so unlike Tokyo. I could see a a lot of foreigners and Japanese students buying cheap textiles from the shops here. I was ready to splurge some yen in the over-crowded place, but surprisingly ended up with only 2 pieces of cloth!

We then made our way to Harajuku, where we were supposed to meet our host, Jai and two other Malaysians who were having a short course at APO, before heading to Tokyo Tower.

While waiting for them, Neesa chan had her lunch at the stuffy food court.
After that, it was time for people watching. We were kind of frustated in a way coz there were not many Japanese wearing costume that day. We wanted to take some photos with a group of girls but they shyly refused. Cheh~ pakai baju mengarut2 tak malu, nak ambik gambar ngan anak aku malu plak! Apara!


Then, it was Tokyo Tower. Idhamu-san was very busy taking photos till the extend that we did not have time to have a peek inside the Wax Museum. However, Jai told us that the Wax Museum was not that spectacular,pun. Takpela...






Next, we went to Roponggi Hills. Idhamu-san wanted to go up the newly-opened Mori Tower.

When we found out later that the price to go up the tower is ridiculuosly expensive,we cancelled our plan. It was ok since we already went up the Tokyo Tower, which has basically the same view. Then,we had dinner at one of the restaurants, courtesy of our generous host.

After dinner, we decided to stop at HRC for some souvenirs before heading back home.
It was time to give our feet (and our pocket) some rest....
