We decided to hit the town first. The first place we went to was the Ueno Zoo.
Another detour alert: Unlike most people,we decided to enter the zoo via its second and smaller entrance,just to avoid the crowd. Kira-kira cam melawan arus la... We reached the oddly located zoo (right smack in the middle of Tokyo) 15 minutes before the operating hours and even managed to catch our breath before venturing into the zoo ( we walked 15 mins from the Ueno station via the Ueno Park). Neesa chan enjoyed herself tremendously. Yelah...dapat jumpa kawan2... Especially the polar bear and the gorilla.
Idhamu-san and I had our fare of fun when we took the train that connects the east and west side of the zoo!
Seronokla, tak yah jalan jauh-jauh! Haha...I had extra fun shopping for souvenirs. Tehehe...
Since the real panda died recently, we only took pictures with the 'fake' panda. Jadila...
After Ueno zoo, we headed to Okachimachi.
Our friends told us that we could get cheap shoes,clothes etc here. Idhamu-san wanted to shop for newly-used golf sticks, golf drivers and what nots. In the end,we did not buy anything. Just kebabs and drinks for Neesa chan and her pregnant mom who needed to break her fast (The weather in Tokyo was killing me!).
BTW the kebab was really good.Tehehe...
That was the end of day one for me and Neesa chan (Idhamu-san was more adventurous. After Maghrib, he went out on foot to take pictures of the very tall buildings around the area. Guess where he ended up? In Shinjuku, which is 3 stations away from Wakamatsu-kawada!)
