3 in 1- All first

I have been very busy these past few days, with the holidays and all... so, forgive me for posting 3 entries in one go.

WEDNESDAY (Aug 13) - Girls Day Out

Spent the whole day with my darling daughter. Idhamu san dropped us off at Fuji Grand on his way to work at around 10 am. We went to T-Joy first and bought ourselves two tickets to see "Ponyo,Ponyo" at noon.

So, while waiting for the show, we went round the mall and had an early lunch.

It was our first experience going to a cinema in Japan. I was not very keen on the idea considering the fact that the ticket is very pricey. I changed my mind recently, knowing for a fact that it would be once in a lifetime experience for both Neesa chan and I. Besides, it would be difficult for Idhamu-san to download "Ponyo, Ponyo" from the net. I figured Wednesday would be perfect as Idhamu-san,who was not keen in joining us, would be busy working till late in the evening and Wednesdays are also Ladies day, which means I only had to pay 1000 yen per ticket.

Jakun gak for a first timer. First, it was the encounter with the blue tray, which we could carry into the theater after we had paid for the drinks and pop-corn.

Next, was the kids' cushion. The cushions were placed at the entrance of each theatre and you can grab either a red or blue cushion as you enter the theatre. How very thoughtful of the Japanese! Takde ler terkial-kial tak nampak screen bila pemandangan di'block' oleh orang lain . (I forgot to take a pic of the cushion. Sorry!)
Neesa chan enjoyed the movie verrrrry much. Nasib baik dia tak suruh ibu dia beli any "Ponyo,Ponyo"merchandise after the show ended. Phew!!!

We lepaked for another couple of hours at the mall before taking the bus home. Neesa chan was still singing the theme song on the way back, entertaining everybody in the bus.:P

THURSDAY (Aug14) - Miyajima Water Firework Festival

Another first experience. This time it involves an hour display of fireworks. What is great about Miyajima's "Hanabi Taikai" is the thousands of fireworks would explode over the sea silhouetting Itsukushima Shrine's O-Torii. However grand it may sound, it still cannot beat the Beijing Olympic's fireworks. Tehehe... Bajet tak sama...

Anyway, we started off from home at 10 am and made a slight detour to Diamond City Soleil for a quick shopping spree. (Sempat lagi tu! Haha...). We continued our journey to the 'sacred island' after Asar. By the time we reached the ferry,we could see that thousands had already arrived before us. It was a fight to get the best viewing spots as most of the spots were already taken by the time we reached the island. (Sempat tawaf 2 kali before deciding where to spread our picnic sheet).

Minus points: Food and drinks were extremely pricey compared to normal days. The heat was unbearable as there were too many people. The journey back was a nightmare as the traffic was badly congested-with people!

Plus point: The fireworks were splendid!

Reached home at midnight. Dead tired (still am!)

FRIDAY (Aug, 15) - The day of my birth (long, long time ago...)

Spent the whole day shopping in Hiroshima City with the family. Tehehe... I loike!!! Thanks, Idhamu-san for the lovely treat. You sure do know your wife really well... Tehehe....

Although my birthday was not celebrated as grand as Neesa chan's 4th birthday, I did receive a surprise gift. Mind you, it was not from dearest hubby (I got to choose my own gift, hence no surprise there...), but from my favourite second-hand outlet, Book-Off/ B-Style. We were eligible for the lucky draw, and my darling daughter wanted to try her hands at the wheel, thus securing a red ball which ended up being a whole loads of voucher.

Another first experience for us-being lucky at a lucky draw. Tehehe....
